This Privacy Policy describes how TaskFlow (“TaskFlow”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and safeguards your information when you use our website and application (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name, email address and password (stored hashed) when you register, and profile details such as an avatar or job title if you add them.
• Workspace content — the boards, columns, tasks, comments, checklists, attachments and other content you and your team create in the Service.
• Billing information — plan selection and payment records. Card and payment details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage & device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps, collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
• Cookies — small files and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences (see “Cookies & Tracking” below).

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain and improve the Service and its features;
• Authenticate you and keep your account and workspace secure;
• Process subscriptions, payments and related billing communication;
• Send transactional messages such as invitations, notifications and password resets;
• Respond to your requests, questions and support enquiries;
• Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and technical issues; and
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:

• Within your workspace — content you create is visible to other members of the boards and workspaces you belong to, according to their roles.
• Service providers — trusted vendors who help us run the Service (for example, hosting, email delivery and payment processing), bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal reasons — when required by law, regulation or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of TaskFlow, our users or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with continued protection of your information.

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your active workspace and preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect core functionality such as staying logged in.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

We use administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information — including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most account details directly in your settings, or contact us to exercise these rights. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with this policy and applicable law.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
